Five Muslim Grooming Gang Members From Rochdale Jailed After Hush Hush Trial

5 men jailed

Five Islamic child groomers from Rochdale have have been jailed following yet another Muslim grooming gang trial held in secret with an enforced media blackout in place. It is only now once the trial and sentencing is over that the courts have lifted the imposed reporting restrictions.

It is almost standard procedure now that reporting restrictions are put in place when ever a gang of Muslim paedophiles are on trial for abusing mostly vulnerable white British schoolgirls. The media blackout helps keep the general public in the dark to the huge scale of the Muslim grooming gang epidemic happening up and down the country.

The logic behind this tactic is quite simple,it keeps the public outrage to a minimum. You can’t kick off about something that you have no idea about in the first place.
If the press had reported on a daily basis throughout the  trial about the horrors committed by these repulsive Muslim sexual deviants. like  how they preyed on young  vulnerable white school girls, plied them with drink and drugs or passed them round like a bit of halal meat amongst their fellow Muslim paedos. Then by the end of the court case the chances are most of the nation would of seen or heard something about it.Creating a great deal of public fury and once again asking awkward questions of both the Muslim community and the local authorities. Also increasing the possibility of some kind of demo which would then not only increase police costs but risk further highlighting the Muslim grooming gang epidemic even more.
Instead the powers that be would rather wait till its all done and dusted ,slipping the news out on the quiet in the hope that the majority of people don’t find out about it.

One of those sentenced last week at Manchesters Minsull Street Crown Court was serial sex attacker Mohammed Miah. The married take away worker has a long history of sexual assaults preying on vulnerable young girls in the Rochdale area.

Jailing Miah for 12 years Judge John Potter said he has a “dreadful record of sexual offending”. Unfortunately Mohammed Miah is already serving a 23-year jail term and the latest 12 year sentence will not be added to that but run concurrent  with it. Mohamed Miah, formerly of Bellshill Crescent, Rochdale, was one of 10 Muslim groomers jailed in April 2016 for sexually abusing a young girl who said she had been repeatedly groomed by a large number of Muslim men in Rochdale. His identity can now be revealed after reporting restrictions against naming him were lifted by the court.

Miah, known to one victim in this case who he had met a day earlier as “Ali”, bought her alcohol and drove her from Rochdale to a North Wales beach where he threatened to leave her if she did not have sex with him. She told him tearfully to stop halfway through sex but the defendant ignored her pleas and continued to rape her. The victim was described as “extremely vulnerable” and had a chaotic lifestyle after she was effectively abandoned by her parents in her early teens.
Another “vulnerable” victim of takeaway cook Miah, who also knew him as “Ali”, was repeatedly violently raped in 2005 when she was aged 14 or 15 after he bought her vodka. The court heard he had previous convictions for sexual offences as well as the attempted abduction of a 15-year-old girl who he approached in the street in his car in 2009 and falsely claimed her mother had told him to pick her up. Mohammed Miah is the absolute filth of humanity and no doubt when he is released from prison he will re-offend.

Four other men, who were also arrested as part of Greater Manchester Police’s Operation Doublet investigation launched in the wake of the scandal, were jailed alongside Miah.

  • Ashefaq Yousaf, 30, of Rochdale, was jailed for 19 years for four counts of rape involving two complainants. Reporting restrictions against him were also lifted
  • Mohammed Sadeer, 28, of Brimrod Lane, Rochdale, was jailed for 12 years, with an extended licence period of four years, after he was found guilty of one count of attempted rape
  • Joshim Miah, 32, of Yorkshire Street, Rochdale, received a seven-year sentence for rape
  • Yousaf’s younger brother, Ittefaq Yousaf, 26, of Stanley Street, Rochdale, was convicted of sexually assaulting one girl and inciting another to engage in sexual activity. He was sentenced to 18 months in jail and received an additional two-month sentence for a separate case of possessing and distributing an indecent image of a child.

Rochdale Gay Rape Jihad : Man Raped By 2 Muslims In Broadfield Park

There was a time not so long ago when to hear of a man getting raped was completley unheard of. If did happen it would be front page news. Now it seems to happen so regular that reporting of it in the press is minor and deemed less newsworthy than something trivial like is Cheryl Cole pregnant which is splashed all over the media.

It is little coincidence that the alarming increase in gay rape case numbers has risen alongside the numbers of Muslim immigrants settling in the UK from lawless Islamic countries. Often of low IQ, inbred, unskilled, violent, anti social and have little morals  thanks to their life of Islam 24/7 .

Rochdale has had more than its fair share of this kind of Muslim landing on its doorstep over recent years. There fore its of little surprise that the town is rapidly becoming the UKs rape-jihad capital. The towns streets are extremely unsafe for men, women and children who are all at risk of the Muslim sexual predator.

A man was raped in a Greater Manchester park, police have said.

The 36 year old was approached by two unknown men as he sat on a bench in Broadfield Park, Rochdale at about 18.30 GMT on Tuesday.

After a brief verbal exchange, one of the men restrained him while the other raped him, police said.

Officers want to trace a man and woman who shouted at the perpetrators, causing them to run off in the direction of the Broadfield Hotel.

The bench where the assault took place is on a path which runs alongside Sparrow Hill, police said.

The suspects are both described as Asian, of large build, and in their late 20s or early 30s.

One had black hair and a goatee beard and was wearing dark clothing and footwear that was red at the heel and white towards the front.

The other was clean shaven and wearing a grey hoodie with Nike written across the chest, grey jogging pants and white boxer shorts with small, red checks.

Det Insp Damian Simpson said the actions of the two witnesses “are likely to have saved the victim from suffering even further” in this “ruthless attack” and said their “co-operation could be of significant value” to the investigation.

Muslim ‘Serial ‘Groomer’ Jailed After Attacking Girls In Rochdale

Muslim serial groomer Mohammed Sodais from Rochdale is the latest Islamic sexual predator to be jailed for paedophilia from the town. Rochdale known for the numerous Muslim grooming gang scandals  is  probably the rape jihad capital of the Northern England. Off the top of my head i cannot think of any where else that comes close to the town for  the amount of Muslim committed sex crimes taking place

Mohammed Sodais abused the teenagers after meeting them in Rochdale

A “serial groomer” who sexually assaulted two 14-year-old girls he befriended has been jailed.Mohammed Sodais attacked one of the girls after leading her to a field, and the other after meeting her at a bus station. The 19-year-old had also contacted a third girl, aged 13, online.

Sodais, of Howarth Cross Street, Rochdale, was jailed for eight and a half years at Manchester’s Minshull Street Crown Court on Monday. He was earlier found guilty of two counts of sexual activity with a child, two of inciting a child to engage in sexual activity and five counts of attempting to meet a child under 16. Sodais had arranged to meet one of his victims, who he knew through a friend, in April last year, Greater Manchester Police said.

‘Sickening urges’

The pair met in Rochdale before going to a field where he abused her.Three months later he met another girl, who was with friends at a bus station in Middleton, and began messaging her online.During a second meeting they went for a walk and he attacked her. After his arrest, police seized his phone and discovered he had contacted three girls.

Det Con Ben Harris said Sodais was a “serial groomer” who wanted to satisfy “sickening urges” after betraying the girls’ trust. He praised Sodais’ victims for their courage in coming forward during what was a “long and difficult trial”. Sodais was also ordered to sign the sex offenders register indefinitely.

Yet Another Muslim Grooming Gang From Rochdale Jailed

News broke last week that another bunch of evil Muslim child abusers from Rochdale had been found guilty of sexually exploiting underage  school girls in the scandal hit town.

Like so many past Muslim grooming gangs facing justice. The trial itself received zero media coverage until after they had been found guilty and sentenced. Even then the press coverage was minimal.

The lack of media attention to the countless Muslim grooming gangs in courts up and down the country is exactly what the authorities want. The public to know as little as possible and  not see the true scale of the Muslim grooming epidemic. As they value community cohesion and not upsetting Muslims above the safety of British children

If the trials only get regional media coverage ,then people cannot see the big picture . (which is where  Kafir Crusaders Muslim Grooming Map comes in useful). With the majority of people then believing that the Muslim grooming gang they are hearing about on the local news is a one-off isolated case. When truth is these gangs are operating up and down the length of the UK.

You can’t make a noise about something if you have no idea whats really going on!!

Four men have been jailed for over 37 years for a range of serious sexual offences as part of Operation Doublet – an investigation into child sexual exploitation, mainly in Rochdale.

Irshad Wani (22/02/1977), of Whitworth Road, Rochdale was found guilty of seven counts of sexual activity with a child and one count of child grooming. He was sentenced to nine years in prison.

Gul Zaman, (06/07/1972, of HMP Manchester, was found guilty of rape and inciting a child into prostitution. He was sentenced to ten years in prison.

The convictions relate to offences committed against two victims who were aged between 15 and 16 at the time of the abuse. The abuse happened between 2004 and 2008.Detective Chief Inspector Jamie Daniels, the Senior Investigating Officer for Operation Doublet, said: “Operation Doublet was launched following the 2011 investigation into child sexual exploitation in Rochdale and we identified a number of cases, which broadly took place between 2004 and 2008, across Greater Manchester where teenage girls had been sexually exploited by older men.“

The victims have shown enormous courage and without their support in what has been a difficult investigation, we would not be here today.“Working with our partners we have been able to identify vulnerable people and tackle CSE in a way that puts the victim’s well being at the centre of all we do and I’d particularly like to pay tribute to DC Fitzsimons in driving this case forwards on behalf of the victims.”“We made a commitment to bring perpetrators of sexual abuse to justice and today is yet another illustration of that promise being realised.”

Another 10 Groomers From Rochdale Jailed

Once again Rochdale, Greater Manchesters  Muslim enclave is making the news headlines for all the wrong reasons. It was the trial of a gang of Muslim paedophiles from the town which brought the Muslim grooming gang epidemic to the nations attention back in 2012. Fours years on it is for that very same reason once again Rochdale is in the news as another bunch of Islamic paedo filth are jailed.
This is now the fourth grooming gang from Rochdale to be banged up for sexually exploiting young vulnerable white schoolgirls. The number of Muslim offenders just shows how deep the rape jihad cancer goes in Rochdales Muslim community.
For each jailed Muslim grooming gang member jailed there is most likely a minimum of 3 others that have been involved yet so far haven’t been brought to justice, and double that who were fully aware of the paedophiles activities. Yet stood back in silence and did nothing about it.

Seven other complainants, who were aged 13 to 22 at the time, also came forward to testify which secured convictions against a number of the defendants.

Killing Of Imam Returning From Mosque Was NOT ISLAMOPHOBIC : Muslim Charged With Murder

South Street cordoned off

Police have now charged a man in connection with the brutal murder of a former mosque imam on his way home from prayers in Rochdale, an area notorious for its Muslim grooming gang problems

Jalal Uddin was found with head injuries in a children’s play area a few streets away from the Jalalia Jaamé Mosque, Rochdale on 18 February. The 64-year-old was taken to hospital but died a short time later.

Contrary to suggestions by the far left and various Muslim organizations who had already made their minds up the killing was by a non Muslim with racial motivations. The man charged also happens to be a Muslim.  Mohammed Hussain Syeedy (born 11/10/1994), 21, of Ramsay Street, Rochdale, has been charged with murder and conspiracy to commit murder, Greater Manchester Police said he will appear at Bury Magistrates Court on Monday.
A 17-year-old boy previously arrested on suspicion of murder is on police bail until April 20.

Will the likes of Mohammed Shafiq of The Ramadam Foundation now retract their previous statements and admit it was wrong to insinuate that it was a racially motivated killing. Mr Shafiq came out with comments aimed at local Muslims that mosques should beef up security and put emergency measures into effect, pairing up people going to and from the mosque to keep them safe. Putting the idea into peoples heads that it is only Muslims who are being targeted because they are going to and from the mosque when in fact the brute responsible was a member of their own community.

Rochdale is a town where community cohesion is fairly divided with a great deal of animosity coming from both sides after numerous grooming gang scandals, allegations of corruption and failings by the local authorities. The last thing the people of Rochdale both Muslim and non Muslim need is the likes of  Mohammed Shafiq. A man with a certain amount of influence due to his regular TV appearances,    causing more fear and mistrust. By turning the horrific murder of man into something even worse before any facts have been established.

10 Muslim Paedos Guilty Of Exploiting 14 Year Old White Girl In Rochdale

Back in April 2015 i posted about another gang of Muslim sexual predators arrested for child sex crimes against a vulnerable white girl from Rochdale. Suddenly it all went silent on the grooming gang, no police statements, no court reports in the press or even a few words on the case. Nothing what so ever on the filthy Islamic child abusers. It seemed they were to be another Muslim sex gang  who disappeared without trace. Spared the naming and shaming in the interests of community cohesion.

That was how things stayed until today when it very quietly and with minimal publicity came out that 10 beasts from the grooming gang have been convicted

Ten men have been convicted of committing sexual offences against a teenage girl in Rochdale.

The complainant walked into a police station shortly after widespread media coverage of the 2012 convictions at Liverpool Crown Court of nine Asian defendants for grooming white girls for sex in the town.

She told officers that from the age of 14 she had been repeatedly sexually groomed by a large number of men from the Rochdale area.

She also said that “hundreds” of men would ring her up wanting her to go out and have sex with them.

Thursday’s convictions can be reported following the conclusion of two trials at Manchester Minshull Street Crown Court.

Opening the prosecutions, Neil Usher said the victim was “an extremely vulnerable young woman who has endured a very difficult home life”.

He said: “Some of this grooming was successful to the extent that as a child, and a vulnerable child at that, she on many occasions agreed to engage in sexual activity with a number of the older men.

“She told the police that there were other occasions when she had not agreed to have sex with some of the men, some of whom had nevertheless then gone on to have sex with her against her will.”

Afraz Ahmed, 33, of Oswald Street, Rochdale, was found guilty of various sexual offences, including rape, conspiracy to rape and sexual activity with a child, in relation to five underage victims.

Choudry Ikhalaq Hussein, 38, of Mayfield Terrace, Rochdale, was convicted of rape, sexual activity with a child and conspiracy to rape.

Rehan Ali, 27, of Cleethorpes Avenue, Blackley, and Kutab Miah, 35, of Ramsey Street, Rochdale, were both found guilty of rape and sexual activity with a child.

Mohammed Dauood, 38, of Leyland Road, Burnley, was convicted of offences in relation to two victims including rape, sexual activity with a child and sexual assault.

Abid Khan, 38, of Whitney Road, Liverpool, and Mohammed Zahid, 54, of Croxton Avenue, Rochdale, were found guilty of sexual activity with a child.

David Law, 46, of Colmanhay Road, Ilkeston, Derbyshire, was convicted of conspiracy to rape, while another defendant, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was convicted of rape and attempting to abduct a child in relation to three victims.

A tenth defendant, Mahfuz Rahman, 29, of HMP Garth, pleaded guilty at an earlier hearing to three counts of sexual activity with a child. He was jailed last September for five-and-a-half years.

Three men were acquitted in the two trials.

The remaining defendants will be sentenced at Minshull Street Crown Court on April 7 and 8.

Alison Cartmell, Senior Crown Prosecutor from CPS North West Complex Casework Unit said: “These offenders have been convicted of a wide range of child sexual exploitation offences against young girls.

“They deliberately targeted the girls because of their youth and their vulnerability at the time, and in many cases groomed them by plying them with large amounts of alcohol or by pretending that they were offering genuine friendship before sexually abusing them.

“On a number of occasions the victims were subjected to violence or threats.

“One victim, an extremely vulnerable young girl with a troubled home life, was sexually exploited in some way by each one of these offenders.

“She has shown tremendous courage and determination in facing up to her abusers and giving evidence at court during two trials.

“The bravery of all the victims in reporting what happened and providing evidence during the trials has enabled us to bring strong prosecution cases and to bring these offenders to justice.

“Supporting them has been a key priority of the CPS and police throughout this prosecution, and we have put in place various special measures at court to help support them, such as giving evidence through a video link to the courtroom.

“This case sends out a clear message to those who abuse and exploit children in this way, that tackling these crimes remains a priority for the CPS and police and we will continue to bring offenders to trial.

“We take these cases extremely seriously and I hope these convictions will provide other victims of sexual abuse with confidence to come forward and report the abuse to police.”

Hussain was convicted in his absence and is currently wanted, said Greater Manchester Police.

He is believed to be outside the United Kingdom.

Police said the majority of the offences took place between 2004 and 2008, with the victims aged from 13 to 23 at the time.

Assistant Chief Constable Robert Potts said: “Operation Doublet was launched following the 2011 investigation into child sexual exploitation in Rochdale and we identified a number of cases, which broadly took place between 2004 and 2008, across Greater Manchester where teenage girls were being sexually exploited by older men.

“Cases such as this one are extremely complex and take a lot of hard work to ensure they reach court. Understandably, victims can go through an array of emotions during the process but their welfare is the most important thing to us and they are always supported by specially trained officers.

“The strong partnership approach taken here, ranging from the Crown Prosecution Service through to Rochdale Metropolitan Borough Council has been important and the police team led by Detective Chief Inspector Jamie Daniels have dedicated themselves and have been relentless in achieving the very best outcomes.

“Today’s outcome belongs to the brave and courageous victims who have found the confidence to speak of their harrowing experiences. They’ve helped us to ensure that we can find those responsible for these horrific crimes and bring them to justice no matter how long has come to pass.

“This has been achieved through a great deal of hard work by police and all partners.

“The nationally recognised Sunrise team in Rochdale continue to help identify vulnerable children in Rochdale with Project Phoenix being a multi-agency approach for Greater Manchester.

“Tackling CSE is a priority for Greater Manchester Police and we, alongside our partners, are dedicated to helping those who are subjected to such abuse and to ensure they are safeguarded from the risks.”

Media Silence : Oldham Grooming Gang On Trial For Abusing Schoolgirls In Care

Four Muslim grooming gang members are on trial in Manchester. Like many of these Muslim grooming gang trials,it is being kept very low key with almost a complete media blackout other than the local press. Its a sad state of affairs when the national press think that Big Brother and B list celebrities love lives are more newsworthy than the continued rape jihad against British schoolgirls up and down the UK.

Though from a leftist community cohesion point of view, i suppose keeping news of these evil Muslim paedophile gangs out of the spotlight  is all good keeping the nation in the dark as to the severity of problem. Keeping it confined to local press will stop the public seeing the big picture and keep more negative attention off Muslims who are still in denial that it is a huge problem within their communities.

It seems Rochdale social services have learnt no lessons from past mistakes  and are still allowing children in their care to be groomed and sexually exploited by Muslim nonces

The Islamic paedophile ring on trial are all from Oldham, which like so many Northern ex mill towns has areas that are now heavily islamized. Glodwick where the offences are alleged to have taken place is one of those Muslim enclaves.

I think its pretty safe to say now that grooming gangs are operating in every town and city that there is a sizeable amount of Muslims living. Its just a matter of time until they are rumbled and exposed.

Under-age girls lured in for sex

Date published: 25 May 2015

TWO vulnerable under-age girls were plied with booze and drugs by older men bent on taking advantage of them to have sex, a court has been told.

The girls — one 13, the other 15 — who had had difficult and troubled home lives, were in the care of Rochdale Social Services at the time, but despite the efforts of staff, repeatedly absconded, sometimes staying out all night.

A jury at Manchester’s Minshull Street Crown Court heard how their behaviour was often “risky and irresponsible” and both liked the company of adult men.

Four Oldham men, arrested following an investigation into child sexual exploitation, are before the court on charges involving the girls and a 13-year old boy.

Neil Usher, prosecuting, said each of the men had played a part, directly or indirectly, in sexual offences involving the younger girl, described as particularly vulnerable.

On three occasions within days of each other in September, last year, the girls absconded from their respective care homes spending nights at addresses in Oldham.

On the last occasion they had been at a terrace house on Worsley Street, Glodwick, which they later claimed to have visited many times.

The younger girl told police she had had unprotected sex with 27-year old Bilal Ahmed while “out of her face” on alcohol.

The court was told that in the first incident six days earlier, the two girls and a 13-year old boy who had also absconded, went into Rochdale where they met 20-year old Hassan Ali.

He suggested going to Oldham on the tram and they were later joined by Ahmed who arranged for them to stay overnight at an address on Tentercroft, occupied by the other two defendants, Dilon Rasul (23) and Mohammed Suleman (47).

The jury was told earlier on the journey into Oldham the girls had been overheard saying they planned to have sex that night if there were any “fit” boys.

Both described being plied with booze and drugs, and the boy described at least one of them as being “smashed” on vodka.

They admitted to “snogging” sessions with Ahmed and Ali.

The second time the girls went missing, they were again at the Worsley Street address.

The court was told that both Ali and Ahmed denied all the allegations against them, but analysis of mobile phones seized by police revealed scores of texts between the two girls and the men.

Ahmed denies any form of sexual activity, and says he never went to the Worsley Street address.

Ali maintains he had no relationship with either girl and says though texts were sent from his mobile phone, he had not sent them.

Bilal Ahmed, formerly of Tentercroft, pleads not guilty to two charges of child abduction, and three counts of sexual activity with a child.

Hassan Ali, of no fixed address, pleads not guilty to conspiracy to engage in penetrative sex with a child and four counts of child abduction.

Dilon Rasul of Worsley Street, Glodwick, and Mohammed Suleman, of Chief Street, Oldham, plead not guilty to conspiracy to engage in penetrative sex with a child.

The trial continues.

4 More Muslim Grooming Gang Members Charged In Rochdale

coming soon to a town or city near you, Muslim rape jihad

Once again all eyes are on Rochdale as a new Muslim grooming gang scandal hits the town  This is where the can of worms was opened so to speak in May 2012 when  9 Muslims were convicted of  sexually abusing, raping and pimping out a number of white British schoolgirls like they were a piece of halal meat at the perverts disposal to use and abuse as they choose. Since it became public knowledge up and down the country countless others have come to light.

Rochdale Councillor’s Son Is Wannabe Jihadist

Recent reports coming out of Turkey stated that 9 British based Muslims had been detained by authorities attempting to cross into neighbouring Syria . Their aim was join up with the savages of the Islamic State and participate in the jihad to take control of the Middle East. A conflict where ISIS have committed some of the most horrific war crimes of the last century. Commiting acts of mass genocide, forced conversions, rape and torture in attempting to rid the region of all Christians, Jews ,non Sunni Muslims and those of minority groups like the Kurds.

It has since emerged that the 9 detained including 4 children are all from Rochdale. An area heavily Islamized which has become a breeding ground for Islamic extremists and child grooming gangs. One of the pictures below shows the smirking face of wannabe terrorist Waheed Ahmed. Son of the Rochdale councillor Shakil Ahmed.

In a statement, the Labour Party councillor said he wanted his son to come home “as soon as possible so I can find out what’s going on”. Surely this idiot cannot be thinking his terrorist recruit son should just be allowed to return home without a prison spell for terror offences first where he can have that smile wiped from his face.

It seems those who were arrested with Ahmed were also related to the Rochdale councillor. Should a man with terrorist connections be in his position???

Syria border arrests: Seized Briton is son of councillor

Waheed Ahmed was among nine Britons detained in Turkey, his father has said

One of nine Britons detained in Turkey for allegedly trying to cross illegally into Syria has been named as the son of a Labour councillor.

Rochdale councillor Shakil Ahmed said he had thought his son Waheed, 22, was on a work placement in Birmingham.

Waheed’s aunt, Zadia Bi, two of her sons and one of their wives, were among five adults detained, Mr Ahmed said.

The group – which also included children aged one, three, eight and 11 – were seized near the Syrian border.

The detained adults are aged 47, 24, two of 22, and 21. All nine are from Rochdale and are thought to be related, UK police said.

‘I don’t understand’

In a statement, Mr Ahmed said he wanted his son to come home “as soon as possible so I can find out what’s going on”.

“My son is a good Muslim and his loyalties belong to Britain, so I don’t understand what he’s doing there,” he said.

“If I thought for a second that he was in danger of being radicalised, I would have reported him to the authorities.

“He’s studying a degree in politics and sociology at Manchester University and has a good future ahead of him.”

Greater Manchester Police and the North West Counter Terrorism force have launched an investigation to establish why the group apparently tried to enter Syria.

All nine are expected to be sent back to the UK “in due course”, police said.

Assistant Chief Constable Ian Wiggett said: “What is obviously concerning is why a family were seemingly attempting to take very young and vulnerable children into a war zone; such a volatile and dangerous environment is no place for them whatsoever.”

He said the primary concern was the “safety and welfare” of the children, and efforts were being made to ensure a “full safeguarding strategy” was in place upon their return.

Officers had uncovered “no evidence whatsoever” of any imminent threat to the UK that was linked to the group, police added.

Gail Hopper, director of children’s services at Rochdale Borough Council, said the authority was “aware of the situation” and co-operating with police.

‘Despicable’ move

The group was detained by Turkish authorities at Reyhanli, in Hatay province, near the Syrian border on Wednesday.

They were taken to a police station in southern Turkey overnight, and then sent to a department for foreigners awaiting deportation to the UK.

The UK Foreign Office has said it is in contact with the Turkish authorities.

Mohammed Shafiq, chief executive of the Ramadhan Foundation, said the news was “deeply worrying”.

“The idea you can take young children into a war zone is despicable and we condemn those adults who have done this,” he said.

Usman Nawaz, 25, who was part of the last Labour government’s Young Muslims Advisory Group, attended the same school as Waheed Ahmed.

He said he didn’t believe Mr Ahmed’s education in Rochdale had anything to do with the journey he had taken but it was a question the Muslim community needed to address.

“Though the numbers are small we are seeing a constant drip-feeding of British Muslims either getting into the Islamic State or trying to get in,” he told BBC Radio 4’s Today progamme.

“There are young Muslims growing up in this country who don’t feel a sense of belonging to this country.

“For some it probably is an adventure but for others they think they are doing something noble so it’s the narrative that’s being presented to them.”

The revelations about the group from Rochdale follows a string of cases where British citizens have tried to reach Syria.

Last month three young men from north-west London were arrested in Turkey, following a tip-off from British police, and were flown back to the UK.

In another case, three schoolgirls from east London are believed to have followed a fourth girl to the region. All four teenagers are thought to have reached Raqqa, the Syrian city where Islamic State (IS) has its headquarters.

About 600 Britons are believed to have gone to Syria or Iraq since IS militants seized control of large swathes of territory there.

And the United Nations estimates the number of foreign fighters joining militant groups in the region is more than 25,000 – from 100 different nations.
