An 81-year-old former Koran teacher has denied he “touched” children at the Madina mosque in Cardiff.

Mohammed Haji Sadiq, who taught for 30 years until 2006, pleaded not guilty to 15 child sexual offences.

Speaking through a translator at Cardiff Crown Court, he denied ever touching a child in lessons although he “tapped” those misbehaving on the back.

He is accused of eight sexual assaults on a child under 13 by touching, and seven indecent assaults.

The allegations involve four girls aged between five and 11 and are said to have taken place between 1996 and 2006 at the mosque on Woodville Road.

Under questioning Mr Sadiq said he did not know the ages of the children he taught, how old the youngest was, or their names.

When asked why the allegations were being made, he said there was “a lot of politics going on in the mosque”.

He told the court there were other teachers and worshippers in the mosque during his lessons for up to 30 children and his classroom door was open.

Mr Sadiq also said he did not take a register, with the jury told records were destroyed when the mosque burnt down in 2006.

The trial continues.

Coventry Imam Arrested Over Mosque Child Abuse Claims

An imam at a Coventry mosque has been arrested over allegations of child abuse. The 45-year-old, who is based at the Islamic Brotherhood Coventry, at the Noorul Islam Jamia Mosque in Eagle Street, was detained by police on suspicion of wilfully ill-treating a child.

Hen was arrested last week after CCTV footage was provided to them which allegedly shows the imam striking a child.A spokesman for the mosque said they are co-operating fully with West Midlands Police.

The imam has been bailed with conditions to stay away from children as the investigation continues. Shabbir Ahmed, treasurer and spokesman for the executive management committee of Islamic Brotherhood Coventry, said: “We are aware that police are investigating an alleged incident.“

Police had the CCTV footage and are pursuing their inquiries, and the imam is on police bail.”We and the imam are fully co-operating with the police investigation or any concerns they have about the incident.“Police may have concerns but we did not receive any complaints thus far from parents or the children.

A statement from West Midlands Police said: “A 45-year-old man from Foleshill has been arrested on suspicion of wilfully ill-treating a child under the age of 16.“He has been bailed pending further inquiries until a date in January with strict conditions not to have any contact with children under the age of 18.”

Pervert Birmingham Imam Guilty Of Child Sex Charges

A pervert Muslim Imam from Birmingham has been found guilty of child sex crimes. The amount of Islamic clerics committing disgusting sex offences against children is staggering. It makes the Catholic churches historic child abuse scandal look tiny in comparison.

Only last week another mosque imam was found guilty of raping a boy during quran tutoring. Although maybe reading about Islams paedo prophet Mohammed violating his child bride Alyisha is some kind of a nonce trigger

Black Country Imam found guilty of child sex charged

A religious teacher, who practised as an Imam at Dudley and Cradley Heath mosques has been convicted of sexually abusing two pupils over 30 years ago. Hifiz Rahman, aged 57, from Ballard Road, Netherton, was found guilty at Wolverhampton Crown Court today (Friday) of sexually assaulting two girls at Queens Cross Mosque in the 1980s.

Rahman was arrested and charged after one of the girls, now aged 40, bravely reported to police in 2012 that she had been sexually assaulted as child by the Imam at the mosque, when she was aged between seven and eight. She told officers that the Imam used to abuse her as she read from the ‘Holy Book’ but was too scared to tell anyone at the time. The woman even admitted starting to self-harm when she was child, by scratching her face in the hope he would no longer abuse her. Through enquires it was established Rahman was Imam at the mosque at the time and he was arrested in March 2014.

During police interviews, he denied sexually assaulting or knowing the girl. The investigation uncovered a second victim and after extensive inquiries, she was traced and further charges were put to Rahman in January 2016. DC Liz Skyte from the force’s Public Protection Unit, said: “The abuse started with inappropriate touching but escalated to more serious assaults. The first complainant told us how the abuse happened almost daily but she never told anyone as due to his high standing in the community, she thought she would not be believed.”

Rahman will appear before Wolverhampton Crown Court for sentencing at a later date to be confirmed.DC Skyte added: “We’ve seen a significant increase in the number of historic cases we investigate – victims may only feel ready to talk about the abuse they suffered many years after the incidents and, whenever they do feel ready, the police and wider support services are here for them.”We have public protection officers who are specially trained to deal sensitively and compassionately with sex offence victims; they are able to support and guide them every step of the way from initial report to court conclusion. We have a successful track record of bringing historic sex offenders to justice even if the crimes they’ve committed are many years, even decades in the past. We’re determined sex offenders won’t escape punishment and we’d encourage any victims to contact us so that we can take action.”

Muslim Imam Jailed For Raping Boy In UK Mosque

An paedophile Muslim Imam based at a Midlands mosque has been jailed for raping a boy left in his care for Islamic lessons. In public Islam promotes a deep hatred for homosexuality. But behind closed doors it’s a different story completely.

The historic child abuse carried out in the Catholic church by members of the clergy is nothing compared to the present scale of abuse carried out by Muslim clerics in mosques throughout the country. I have lost count of the amount of Muslim religious leaders jailed over recent years for sex crimes against children over recent years. Considering Islam is a minority religion in the UK. It doesn’t bear thinking about the levels of abuse that must be carried out in mosques in parts of the world living under Islam and forced gender segregation.

The mosques elders at first tried to cover up the imans sick sex crimes when the boys parents approached them by not advising them to go to the police and  instructing the repulsive cleric to move to India to avoid prosecution. It was only when the imam returned months later to the UK that the police were informed of his crimes.

The imam claimed that it was the devil who had made him do it. Blaming the devil must be the trending excuse for Muslim nonces to use as only last week a Muslim child rapist used the same

Former imam at Rugby Mosque jailed for raping young boy

UPDATED: 7:19 pm, Sep 23, 2016 0  PAEDO IMAM RAPED A BOY AT RUGBY MOSQUEA DISGRACED former imam at Rugby Mosque was banished to India after raping a young boy while giving him religious instruction – only to secretly return to this country. But when his young victim some years later revealed what had happened, Noor Walile was traced to his home in Leicester. And when a charge of rape was put to him at Warwick Crown Court, the former imam answered tearfully: “I am guilty. So sorry, I am guilty.”

Walile, 38, of Dronfield Street, Leicester, was jailed for six years and ordered to register as a sex offender for life. But, branded ‘an offender of particular concern’ by the judge, he will only be released before serving the whole of the six years if the Parole Board considers it safe to do so – and will then be on licence for an additional 12 months.

Prosecutor Jane Sarginson said that in around 2010 Walile was working as the imam at the mosque in Grosvenor Road, Rugby, and among his duties was giving religious education to children. The court heard how Walile raped a young boy in the mosque’s toilets. When Walile later visited the boy’s home, the boy ran away when he saw Walile – and later told his parents he did not want to go to the mosque anymore. His parents contacted an elder at the mosque who advised them to save the clothes the boy had been wearing and not to wash them. The mosque elder and the parents then confronted Walile.

Miss Sarginson said: “Initially Walile denied the allegations, but then said he had done something ‘very bad’ and that he could not remember what had happened, but that the devil had come over him.“He was told he would have to go back to India and never return, or the matter would be reported to the police – and that is what the family understood had happened.

”But earlier this year the assault was reported to the police.Officers then traced Walile who initially denied raping the boy or confessing it to the mosque elder. But once he was told the family had kept the clothing, he confessed: “I have told lies during this interview. I am sorry, I did a bad thing. The devil came over me, and I did this bad act.”

Anthony Bell, defending, said: “He has worked in a responsible position for many years, without any behaviour such as this in the past.“When the incident happened he took the advice, albeit fairly firmly expressed, to leave the country and go to India; but he returned to this country to be with his family and his wife, who is a British citizen.“He has lived quietly in a different city, so that there would be no risk of contact with the boy or his family.“His shame is apparent. He offers no explanation and no justification for what he’s done. He is ashamed of himself and acutely aware of the shame he has brought on his family.”

Jailing Walile, Judge Stephen Eyre QC told him: “The members of your community entrusted their young children to you for guidance and education.“You were in a position of responsibility and leadership at the mosque. You abused that position and that trust, and defiled the faith you were paid to uphold.“He was a young boy entrusted to your care for guidance, and you raped him. It is hard to think of any greater abuse of the trust that had been placed in you.“If you had not pleaded guilty, the sentence would have been one of nine years.”

The judge pointed out that, in addition to a sexual harm prevention order restricting Walile’s contact with any child under 16, he will be barred from working with children for life.

2 Tier Justice: Muslim Judge Gives Rapist Imam Soft Suspended Sentence

Dudley Imam Mohammed Habibullah has miraculously avoided being sent to jail after being found guilty of sexual assault against a vulnerable woman. The filthy sexual deviant who leads Muslims in prayer at the mosque must of thought his had been answered when he was only given a suspended sentence for his vile crime.

It just so happens that the crown court judge handing out the pathetic sentence is also Muslim.  Despite Judge Amjad Nawaz  saying the attack had serious consequences for his victim who had been left “psychologically damaged”. He still helped his fellow Muslim in need out by letting him off virtually unpunished. Basically go away and don’t do it again brother because of the fine work you have done in the past for other Muslims.

Stealth jihad creeping Islam: Muslim Judge Amjad Nawaz looking after his fellow Muslims with pathetically soft sentence
Double Standards: Muslim Judge Amjad Nawaz looking after his fellow Muslims with pathetically soft sentence

This is the same Judge Amjad Nawaz who only 3 months ago sentenced an equally disgusting sex offender to 8 years prison for a crime which happened over 40 years ago in 1975. Only the offender in this case given 8 years in prison was not a fellow Muslim who in Islam he is obliged to help out . He was a white non Muslim beast.

Does this 2 tier justice and double standards make your blood boil as much as it has mine. Then here is a chance to do something about the pathetic sentence allowing this pervert to still be outside on the streets and a threat to women instead of in a cell where he belongs. By asking for the soft sentence and lack of justice to be reviewed by the Attorney General’s Office

Send email to  uls.referrals@attorneygeneral.gsi.gov.uk   with the following info :

  • name of the person who got the sentence
  • date the sentence was given
  • court where the case was held
  • crime committed

Telephone: 020 7271 2492
The Attorney General has 28 days to review a sentence and make a decision. Once they’ve reviewed the case, they may send it to the Court of Appeal.

Mohammed Habibullah has avoided jail

A 69-YEAR-OLD Imam who lead prayers at a mosque in the Dudley area has been spared time behind bars after he carried out a sex attack on a vulnerable woman.

Mohammed Habibullah of St George’s Road, Dudley, had denied sexually assaulting the woman but he was convicted by a jury at Wolverhampton Crown Court.

Ian Windridge, prosecuting, said that in a victim impact statement the woman described how she now felt anxious and nervous adding, “I now feel as though I have to have my guard up all the time.”

She said that after the offence committed on July 22, 2014, she was badly affected by stress and went on “When I think about what happened I feel sick”.

Simon Burch, defending, said Habibullah who had a number of medical problems including heart troubles and arthritis had worked extremely hard for the Muslim community.

Judge Amjad Nawaz told him: “You have not only let yourself down but you have let your community down.”

He stressed it was an extremely serious offence and said: “You gave evidence saying you simply would not have done what you did because it was Ramadan and you would not have had those thoughts.”

The actions of Habibullah, said the judge, had serious consequences for his victim who had been left “psychologically damaged”.

He added that before the offence it was clear Habibullah had been a man of “positive good character” who had given more than 25 years service to the Muslim community as an Imam but he had behaved inappropriately when he had been alone with his victim in a room.

Habibullah was given a six month jail term suspended for 18 months, placed on supervision for 18 months and told he must register as a sex offender for the next seven years.

Not So Moderate British Muslims (Tv Host / Imams / Mosques) Mourn Islamist Killer :

Last week the Pakistani government carried out the execution of an islamist killer named Mumtaz Qadri . The fundamentalist was sentenced to death for the cold-blooded murder of  the Governor of Punjab, Salman Taseer  who had been an outspoken critic of the Islamic republics backwards blasphemy laws and its barbaric death sentence penalty.  Qadri who had been the Governors bodyguard deemed his boss as being un-Islamic in doing so and shot him 25 times for Allah.

Mumtaz Qadris death penalty seems pretty well deserved to me for killing one of the very few Pakistanis of sound mind and with morales. The islamofascists death is of no loss and will be and one step to making the World a better place . Well you would think so anyway……but then again this is Pakistan we are talking about. The toilet of the planet, rammed to the brim with uncivilized and backwards Muslim extremists who live and breathe nothing but militant Islam. Killing the Governor of Punjab propelled Mumtaz Qadris into something of a folk hero amongst Pakistan’s blood thirsty islamists.

His funeral was attended by between 50,000 to 100,000 bearded radicals who came out to bid him farewell. This was followed by rioting and the odd Taliban bomb or two  in his memory. Troubling as it is to think of all the Pakistani religious nut jobs who regard this killer as a martyred hero.

What is even worrying is the response from some prominent British Muslims who are seen as community leaders and come across as all moderate when in the spotlight.  When their comments over Mumtaz Qadris execution show  they are closet Islamofascists,. Those in mourning for the islamist killer include:

Mohammed Shafiq, of the Ramadam Foundation often seen interviewed on UK national news reports and currant affairs programs as the Muslim commenter . Also runs Ummah Tv channel

Imam Qasim Rashid Ahmad,  is the founder and chairman of taxpayer subsidised Al-Khair Foundation, and also the CEO of IQRA TV

Bradford imam Muhammed Asim Hussain

Jamia Mosque, Birmingham.  The largest mosque in Europe

Al Aqsa Mosque in Bolton likes religious violence so much that it has changed its Facebook profile to an image of Mumtaz Qadri.

Below are a couple of articles from Harrys Place going into more details on the ‘moderate‘ British Muslims.

The Al Aqsa Mosque in Bolton: Celebrating Religious Murder

The Al Aqsa Mosque in Bolton likes religious violence so much that it has changed its Facebook profile to an image of Mumtaz Qadri.

Qadri is of course the murderer of Salman Taseer, the Pakistani liberal who campaigned against his country’s benighted blasphemy laws. That work was his death warrant. Qadri in turn was executed by Pakistan on Monday.

Scroll down from Qadri at the top of the Facebook account of the Aqsa mosque and you will find a post where “Handsome” is the caption for a photo of Qadri’s face taken at his funeral.

Next comes a video from the funeral. The mosque post calls Qadri a “martyr” (shaheed).

Some scenes from that funeral:

The vast gathering on Tuesday centred on Liaquat Park in Rawalpindi, where a succession of clerics made fiery speeches bitterly condemning the government for giving the go-ahead for Monday’s execution of Qadri, a former police bodyguard who became a hero to many of his countrymen after he shot and killed Salmaan Taseer, the governor of Punjab province, in 2011.

Some of the all-male crowd wore “I am Qadri” signs around their necks while others held up the front page of the Ummat newspaper for bypassers to kiss, which was entirely covered with a photo of Qadri’s dead and garlanded body.

The man speaking in that funeral video appears to be this man, who wasoverjoyed when Qadri murdered Saleem in 2011:

Jamaat Ahle Sunnat and other religious organisations took out rallies to “celebrate” the assassination of Governor Salmaan Taseer, marked by aerial firing and tributes to the assassin, Mumtaz Hussain Qadri. Central chief Alami Tanzeem Ahl-e-Sunnat Pir Muhammad Afzal Qadri, who led the rally, declared the assassin a ‘hero of the Muslim world,’ adding the government should not take any action against him.

Declaring Jamaat Ahle Sunnat’s support for the assassin, Afzal Qadri praised him “for killing a blasphemer.”

“We will pursue [Mumtaz Hussain Qadri’s] case in the court,” he said, adding that the media should not call Taseer shaheed (martyr) and should call the assassin Qadri a ghazi (hero).

Another video follows on the Al Aqsa Mosque Facebook account. It shows Mumtaz Qadri beaming in religious song. The mosque notes Qadri “says his farewell before embracing martyrdom”.

Then the mosque links to the foul post of Bradford imam Muhammed Asim Hussain for Qadri the “ghazi” (hero). It is as brazen as it is sickening:

A dark day in the history of Pakistan; the day Ghazi Mumtaz was wrongfully executed and martyred in the way of Allah, when he did what he did in honour of the Prophet.

Allah raise the ranks of this true servant of Allah and lion of the Ahl ul-Sunnah wal Jama’at. Allah guide the leadership in our Muslim countries. Ameen.

Celebrations of horrendous religious murder should have no place of any kind in Britain.

Yet they do in the Al Aqsa Mosque in Bolton, and it is far from alone.

One must presume that nothing will be done about this.

British Ummah Channel Politics Editor – Government Funded Imam – Europe’s Largest Mosque – All Mourn ‘Apostate’ Killer Qadri’s Death

This is a guest post by Amjad Khan

Mumtaz Qadri had been tried for the murder of Governor Salman Taseer, on the basis that the latter had violated the anti-blasphemy laws of Pakistan. Taseer had campaigned against the Islamic blasphemy laws that are used in Pakistan, arguing that they are used to deliberately oppress minorities “[of those tried under the law] How come over 50 per cent of them are Christians when they form less than 2 per cent of the country’s population. This points clearly to the fact that the law is misused to target minorities.”

Many in Pakistan had laid rose petals to commemorate the “martyrdom” of the murderer Qadri, celebrating his killing of Taseer – or “defending Pakistan’s Islam.” Muslim figureheads in Pakistan and in Western Europe should be polar opposites on this issue, as the latter has a respect for human rights and democracy, right?

Mohammed Shafiq, the politics editor of the Ummah Channel, had expressed his regret at Qadri’s death stating “Salam Mumtaz Qadri [in Arabic: May God have mercy on him].” Now this is very concerning. This is because Mohammed had made death threats to Maajid Nawaz for tweeting a bland cartoon of the Prophet Muhammed, however he later issued an apology….a year later.

Mohammed Shafiq, who has a TV channel that broadcasts 6 hours a day, has expressed public regret and wish for wellbeing to Qadri in the afterlife – does this mean he has swept away the murder Qadri was responsible for? Does Shafiq see the legitimacy in killing apostates the same way Qadri had? As one Facebook user asked:

However this isn’t the first time Mohammed Shafiq has defended violent preachers, which includes defending Yusuf al-Qaradawi, who called to action the destruction of world Jewry.

These dangerous ideas of murdering an individual on the basis of blaspheming – or even critiquing blasphemy laws – should be confronted with as they stand abhorrently against our British values. However, a Government supported Imam poised as a counter-narrative to extremism has in fact been spreading these exact theocratic ideals!

Cue Imam Qasim Ahmad, narrating the death of Mumtaz Qadri with a soundtrack of sorrow and injustice. It is a great disappoint to see that the tax-payers’ money was spent on supporting a counter-extremist spokesman who shies away from discussing the horror which was Qadri’s cold-blooded murder for blasphemy.

What of Europe’s largest mosque? Surely they would have some responsibility in denouncing both the blasphemy law and subsequent murder of those under that law. But sadly this wasn’t the case, as they too sang from the same hymn sheet mourning Qadri’s death stating, “[they are] gathering in honour of Mumtaz Qadri.”

What separates us from Pakistan is a higher respect for the rule of law and dignity for all faiths and cultures. Key Muslim figureheads in this grand Mosque should also promote these same universal values, symbiotically integrating their Islamic faith with a respect for the democratic law we abide by in the UK.

It is not enough to just abide by the law, but it is important for these influential individuals to also stand up against the abhorrent crimes Mumtaz Qadri had committed, and only the mourn loss of all the innocent people like Taseer who died fighting against theocratic blasphemy laws. Mohammed Shafiq cannot classify himself as a “moderate” Liberal democrat, Imam Ahmad cannot be a credible tax-payer supported counter-extremist, and Europe’s largest Mosque cannot call itself a promoter for the human rights cause.

Bradford Imam Muhammed Asim Hussain: Murder Fan

Salman Taseer was a Pakistani politician who did some good in the world:

– He was one of the most prominent liberal politicians in the country and a close associate of Asif Ali Zardari, who was then the president.

– Known to be an outspoken critic of the country’s harsh blasphemy laws, arguing that they discriminated against religious minorities, and sought liberal reforms.

– He had called for a pardon for Asia Bibi, a Christian woman who was sentenced to death in 2010 for insulting the Prophet Muhammad.

For this Taseer was murdered in 2011 by Mumtaz Qadri, one of his own bodyguards. Qadri shot Taseer 28 times.

Qadri was tried for the murder, found guilty, and sentenced to death. On Monday he was executed in Rawalpindi.

Some British Muslims are very unhappy. And I don’t mean death penalty opponents. Death is fine when dealt to the deserving. Saleem merited the ultimate price. Qadri did not.

Just look at Bradford imam Muhammed Asim Hussain hailing Qadri the “martyr”, “true servant of Allah”, and “lion” on Monday:

A dark day in the history of Pakistan; the day Ghazi Mumtaz was wrongfully executed and martyred in the way of Allah, when he did what he did in honour of the Prophet.

Allah raise the ranks of this true servant of Allah and lion of the Ahl ul-Sunnah wal Jama’at. Allah guide the leadership in our Muslim countries. Ameen.

That post has garnered almost 4,000 “likes”.

Later on Monday Hussain underlined his point with this post:

Hussain has form in this area. Last year he strongly backed a rally for Aafia Siddiqui, also known as “Lady al-Qaeda”. She is a convicted attempted murderer and crude antisemite.

His fellow speakers at that event included Yvonne Ridley, the convert to extremism who has led the campaign of lies for Aafia Siddiqui, the antisemite Lord Ahmed, and Bradford East Labour MP Imran Hussain.

Asim Hussain’s support for Mumtaz Qadri was discussed on the BBC Asian Network earlier this week. From five minutes in here. There were furious calls for the authorities and mosques to take action.

Those calls should not fall on deaf ears. I fear they may well do just that.

Killing Of Imam Returning From Mosque Was NOT ISLAMOPHOBIC : Muslim Charged With Murder

South Street cordoned off

Police have now charged a man in connection with the brutal murder of a former mosque imam on his way home from prayers in Rochdale, an area notorious for its Muslim grooming gang problems

Jalal Uddin was found with head injuries in a children’s play area a few streets away from the Jalalia Jaamé Mosque, Rochdale on 18 February. The 64-year-old was taken to hospital but died a short time later.

Contrary to suggestions by the far left and various Muslim organizations who had already made their minds up the killing was by a non Muslim with racial motivations. The man charged also happens to be a Muslim.  Mohammed Hussain Syeedy (born 11/10/1994), 21, of Ramsay Street, Rochdale, has been charged with murder and conspiracy to commit murder, Greater Manchester Police said he will appear at Bury Magistrates Court on Monday.
A 17-year-old boy previously arrested on suspicion of murder is on police bail until April 20.

Will the likes of Mohammed Shafiq of The Ramadam Foundation now retract their previous statements and admit it was wrong to insinuate that it was a racially motivated killing. Mr Shafiq came out with comments aimed at local Muslims that mosques should beef up security and put emergency measures into effect, pairing up people going to and from the mosque to keep them safe. Putting the idea into peoples heads that it is only Muslims who are being targeted because they are going to and from the mosque when in fact the brute responsible was a member of their own community.

Rochdale is a town where community cohesion is fairly divided with a great deal of animosity coming from both sides after numerous grooming gang scandals, allegations of corruption and failings by the local authorities. The last thing the people of Rochdale both Muslim and non Muslim need is the likes of  Mohammed Shafiq. A man with a certain amount of influence due to his regular TV appearances,    causing more fear and mistrust. By turning the horrific murder of man into something even worse before any facts have been established.

Allegations Of Sexual Abuse Against Muslim Leader

Islamic rape jihad comes to Chicago, where an imam and leader of an Islamic umbrella group has been accused of sexually assaulting a female employee of the group.

Sex-abuse allegations against Chicago Muslim religious leader roils community

Allegations of sexual abuse by the longtime president of a leading Chicago-area Islamic school have roiled the region’s Muslims and raised questions about the reporting of sexual abuse in a close-knit religious community.

The allegations that Abdullah Saleem of the Institute of Islamic Education in Elgin, a Chicago suburb, sexually abused an adult female school employee surfaced in December, when a leading Muslim scholar referred to them in a blog.

Elgin police confirmed Saturday that they are conducting a criminal investigation into allegations of sexual abuse at the school, but spokesman Cmdr. Ana Lalley said she could provide no further details.

Saleem, who has been a respected Muslim leader in Chicago for decades, has not been charged with any crime.

Mohammed Kaiseruddin, chairman of the Council of Islamic Organizations of Greater Chicago , the region’s most influential Muslim umbrella group, said Saleem has resigned from his post and been replaced by his son. He said Saleem left for his native India after the allegations surfaced, and he did not know if he had returned.

“I’ve known him for a very long time; it came as a shock to me,” Kaiseruddin said. “Many people found it unbelievable that he would be accused of something like this. I found it unbelievable, too, until I talked to a few other people and got the same story from all of them. Sometimes our weaknesses lead us to do unbelievable things.”

Numerous attempts to reach school officials for comment were unsuccessful.

While the allegations against Saleem are nowhere near the scale of the sexual-abuse scandal faced in recent years by the Roman Catholic Church, they have raised similar painful questions about the relationship between religious communities and law enforcement officials.

Junaid Afeef, a lawyer and Muslim leader in Chicago, said religious and community leaders, especially among the older generation, initially had a “circle-the-wagons” response to the allegations. He said at first they largely ignored them, then chose to investigate them themselves rather than go immediately to the police.
“That’s not their job,” Afeef said. “I wasn’t surprised, but I was a little disappointed.”

“This isn’t the ’80s or the ’90s anymore,” he said. “For a while we insisted on believing that sex abuse and rape don’t happen in our community, because we are Muslims and Muslims don’t do that. But now we know that whatever social ills exists in the broader world, exist in our community, too.”

Some Muslims also worry that public allegations against a prominent leader could compound anti-Muslim sentiment, which Muslim Americans have struggled with since the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks, and even more so lately with the rise of the Islamic State radical group in Syria and Iraq.

Afeef said that when he started publicly discussing the allegations against Saleem on a popular Listserv, he was criticized by some who told him that he was “playing into the hands of Islamophobes.”

“I’m sure that’s true,” Afeef said. “There are people who have an agenda to malign Muslims. But that’s beside the point. There is a victim here, and her safety and protection trump any bigotry that might result from reporting this.”

The sexual-abuse allegations were raised in December in a blog written by Omer Mozaffar, a leading Muslim scholar who teaches at the University of Chicago and Loyola University Chicago.

Kaiseruddin said the council officials’ initial reaction to the allegations was to investigate the matter themselves. Council investigators went to the school and spoke with at least two other people who corroborated the allegations. He said they also “reported earlier incidents of a similar nature,” without giving details.

“We investigated and talked to several people, and we heard roughly the same story from more than one source,” Kaiseruddin said. “We still have no legal proof, but we know this is not just a rumor started by one person.”

Kaiseruddin said the council then encouraged the alleged victim to file a police report.

“She was reluctant, and her family was reluctant, which is understandable,” he said. “When people report these things, they end up suffering more. We encouraged her. We told her the community is behind you. You should come forward and seek justice. The only way to do that is by reporting it to the police.”
Kaiseruddin said that if the case had involved a minor, the council would have immediately reported it to the police. But because the alleged victim was an adult, he said, they thought it was more appropriate to encourage her to report the crime.

She has since left the school, he said.

“That school was built with community money and the community was benefiting from that school,” he said. “We wanted to see what we could do to help the school come clean and fix any problem they are having. We sat down with them and said they should do a thorough investigation. They hired a law firm and are pursuing an independent investigation.”

Kaiseruddin said the council had also established a task force to help the Islamic schools in the Chicago area create policies to help prevent sexual-abuse cases. He said he is satisfied that the council “did our part.”

“There are many in the community who would like this to stay out of the public arena,” Kaiseruddin said. “But this kind of thing will keep on happening if it is hushed up. We wanted to make sure people are aware of it.”

Amina Saeed, a lawyer and former president of the Muslim Bar Association of Chicago, called the council’s response to the allegations “disheartening and pathetic.”

“They had a golden opportunity to do the right thing on this issue, and they didn’t,” she said.

She said the council should have condemned Saleem’s school for failing to report the alleged abuse to police immediately. Instead, she said, the council was too protective of the school and too reluctant to make the allegations public.

“The Muslim community is like every other religious community in America,” she said. “There is a strong element where people think it is going to bring more shame on us. We don’t need to air this publicly. We can handle it. But it’s just not the case. Religious leaders do not have the training that psychologists, psychiatrists and victims’ advocates have. It’s not their job.”

Saeed said that even though the current allegations come at a time when Muslims are being “vilified,” “that is not a reason to shove this under the rug. It’s not fair to the victim, and the victim is the most important person here. And it’s not fair to our faith tradition.”
Advocates for victims of sexual abuse have also been active in the case.

“The recent allegations of sexual abuse against a religious leader in the Chicago community have elicited much anger and confusion,” wrote Nadiah Mohajir, co-founder and director of HEART Women and Girls, a nonprofit group.

“Our utmost priority is to protect and respect the confidentiality and safety of survivors,” she wrote on her group’s Web site. “That said, we hope that questions from the community will be directed to the rightful source — the staff and Board of the institution in question.”

Hate Preacher Who Inspired Lee Rigby Killers To Sue BBC For Being Called Extremist

Hardline imam Shakeel Begg, 37, is suing the BBC saying it described him as an 'extremist'
HATE PREACHER SHAKEEL BEGG UPSET AT BEING CALLED EXTREMIST

KERCHING !!  Notorious hate preacher Shakeel Begg has seen £ signs in front of his eyes and is attempting to sue the BBC. Demanding libel damages and BBC don’t call him ‘extremist’  again. You couldn’t make this stuff up. A Muslim extremist getting upset at being called a Muslim extremist.

Shakeel Begg is the Salafist imam at Lewisham Islamic Centre in South-East London, the mosque where Lee Rigby’s murderers attended. Another mosque regular was Khadijah Dare who used the Twitter name Muhajirah fi Sham (meaning “immigrant in Syria”). She was radicalised here in the UK and ran off to join ISIS and marry a jihadist.  Making regular postings on social media calling for other British based Muslim women to join her in Syria. She recently caused controversy  posting pictures of her young son who she took to Syria with her holding a AK-47.

The Mail on Sunday reported : A hardline imam at a mosque where the killers of soldier Lee Rigby worshipped is suing the BBC, saying it described him as an ‘extremist’.Shakeel Begg, 37, is taking legal action after presenter Andrew Neil said on the Sunday Politics Show that the imam had praised jihad as ‘the greatest of deeds’.Mr Begg, head of the Lewisham Islamic Centre in South-East London, is demanding libel damages and that the BBC doesn’t again call him an ‘extremist’ who ‘encourages religious violence’.

According to the High Court writ, Mr Neil interviewed Farooq Murad, then head of the Muslim Council of Britain, during the Sunday Politics Show in November 2013.
Mr Neil said the East London Mosque in Whitechapel was ‘a venue for a number of extremist speakers…who espouse extremist positions’.

The presenter added: ‘This year Shakeel Begg, he spoke there and hailed jihad as the greatest of deeds.’ Mr Begg has said he cannot recall making such a speech at the East London Mosque. But in 2011 he told guests at a charity dinner elsewhere that ‘jihad in the path of Allah is one of the greatest deeds a Muslim can take part in’. Asked about that speech, he explained that by ‘jihad’ he had meant ‘spiritual struggle’.

Mr Begg did not deny Mr Rigby’s killers – Michael Adebolajo, 28, and Michael Adebowale, 22 – attended the Lewisham Islamic Centre in the months leading up to the Woolwich attack.
But he said the Centre had issued a statement expressing ‘shock and sadness’.A Centre spokesman said: ‘We and our imam work closely with various community groups, including the police.’
The BBC last night declined to comment.

Begg  has been regarded as an extremist since way before the Woolich murder of Lee Rigby. In 2006 he reportedly told students “You want to make jihad? Very good… take some money and go to Palestine and fight, fight the terrorists, fight the Zionists”.

Its not only non Muslims who consider him an extremist either. A Muslim website called Islam Against Extremism cites Shakeel Begg alongside the likes of Abu Hamza, Anjem Choudary and Abu Qatada in being responsible for the radicalization of Michael Adebolajo and Michael Adebowale. Their website states:

“As has come to light recently, Michael Adebolajo was influenced by Shakeel Begg in the latter’s verdicts of jihad in Syria, and is part of what led him to believe that unless you participate in jihad today you are sinful, and that jihad is fard al-ayn (an individual obligation). This is certainly the idea that is presented by extremists like Shakeel Begg

They also state Begg is very devious and manipulative in his ways of radicalising those he preaches to. Pushing the work and ideology of  Sayyid Qutb. An Islamist theologian who fused radical Safalist Islam with Marxism / Communism. Osama Bin Laden, Anwar al-Awlaki and Hasan al-Banna founder of the Muslim Brotherhood were all notable Qutbists.

Shakeel Begg has something of a fetish for Muslim prisoners and not your petty crook sort either. High profile Muslim prisoners charged with terrorist offences. Some who have murdered in the name of Allah, others who are said to of been behind terrorist attacks.

The above video shows the hate preacher speaking at a rally outside Belmarsh prison in London he spoke of solidarity for his fellow Muslim brothers locked up unfairly in Belmarsh and around the world. Those prisoners held in Belmarsh prison at the time included hate preacher Abu Qatada who was deported on murder/terrorism charges. Hook handed Abu Hamza, recently sentenced to life imprisonment in the USA for terrorism. Babar Ahmed who protested his innocence whilst held in Belmarsh only to plead guilty at his terrorism trial in America.

Again in the video below is Shakeel Begg at a conference staged by Cageprisoners, the terrorist support group. Begg finds former Guantanamo inmates “inspiring” and worthy of a divine salute.

“…[it is] inspiring to be amongst some of our brothers who madehijra [migration] in the path of Allah, who made jihad in the path of Allah, who suffered in the path of Allah, our brothers from Guantanamo Bay. May Allah have mercy upon them, may Allah accept all their good deeds and all their fasting especially in the month of Ramadan, and may Allah grant them jannah [paradise].”

Begg is a staunch supporter of jailed Pakistani scientist Dr Aafia Siddiqui nicknamed Lady al Qaeda. Siddiqui’s release was included in the demands of terrorists ISIS for a failed prisoner exchange for an American hostage. Shakeel Begg has spoke at fundraisers for the terrorist prisoner.

Shakeel Begg is one of Unite Against Fascism’s  favourite extremist guest speakers. He has been a regular at events run by the communist UAF over recent years. The UAF are more than happy to share the platform with Islamofascists.

The hate preacher has released a statement on his mosque website regarding the Mail’s article. Attempting to portray himself as the victim and likening the Daily Mail to Hitlers Nazi’s propaganda as he seized power in pre war Germany.

Muslim Spiritual Leader From Manchester Ordered Gang To Kidnap,Terrorise And Blackmail Two Families

Soft sentences for this criminal gang of Muslims headed by Islamic ‘Spiritual’ leader Tariq Dhamial given the serious nature of their crimes. The gang committed  a catalogue of crimes including kidnap and blackmail making the UK’s counterfeit capital, Cheetham Hill look more like the bandit lands of Peshwar than an area of Manchester.

Its a wonder he didn’t use Islam as his excuse for his criminal activities. Claiming he was only being a good Muslim trying to act like the perfect Muslim Mohammed who himself decieved others, took prisoners and extorted money from people.

Seven Manchester men have been jailed for a “terrifying” hold-up that saw the gang threaten two male hostages with weapons and demanded they phone their wives to beg for money.

The group, led by 44-year-old Muslim ‘spiritual leader’ turned vigilante Tariq Dhamial, known as “The Priest” to followers, threatened the pair with a hammer, knife, and hot iron after luring them to a house in Wordworth Avenue, Cheetham Hill, Manchester, on the premise they were completing a house sale.

However, after arriving at the address they soon became hostages and were told to pay £14,000 (€17,800).

The group took a wallet, watch, bracelet, phone, and keys from one of the victims and threatened to assault both of them if they didn’t pay the money.

Both victims were forced to ring their wives and arrange the transfer of £5000 and £9000 into two of the offender’s bank accounts. When they spoke to their wives they told them they were being held hostage.

The men were held overnight and the next day the police arrived at the address and arrested five of the offenders. The other two men were arrested within a matter of days.

Fateh Kashief Ahmed, 48, Shakoor Ahmed Butt, 35, Shazwan Ashraf, 31, Ghulam Ali, 33, all from Cheetham Hill; Tariq Dhamial, 54, of Blackley; Abdul Zubair Qadus, 33, of Salford; and Mohammed Khateer Ali, 31, all pleaded guilty to two counts of false imprisonment.

Dhamial was sentenced to four years in prison, while Kashief Ahmed, Ahmed Butt, Shazwan Ashraf, Ali, and Abdul Zubair Qadus were all sentenced to 32 months for each count, with the sentences to run concurrently.

Khateer Ali was sentenced to 27 months for each count, with the sentences to run concurrently.

Senior Investigating Officer Duncan Thorpe said: “The victims were severely beaten and threatened for money that the offenders believed was owed to them from a previous fraud.

“A separate investigation is being conducted in relation to the fraudulent activities of the two victims, but unfortunately the offenders in this case decided to take matters into their own hands and inflict violence upon the victims.

“They kept the two victims prisoner for a couple of days and this was clearly a terrifying experience for both men, but today justice has been done.”
