Two men have been jailed for sexual offences against six girls in Somerset.

Mehmet Citak, of Bradford Abbas, Dorset and Ahmet Kurtyemez, from Swindon, were sentenced to 20 years and 12 years respectively at Bristol Crown Court.

Citak, 34, was convicted of two counts of rape and seven counts of sexual assault and Kurtyemez, 29, was found guilty of six counts of sexual assault.

Avon and Somerset Police said girls, as young as 14 at the time, had been “cruelly robbed of a normal childhood”.

‘Systematically abused’

Citak and Kurtyemez were charged with offences involving six female victims, who were all under 18 at the time.

The attacks were all committed in the Yeovil area.

Det Insp Lindsay Sherlock, speaking after sentencing, said the men had “abused their position of trust” with the victims for “their own sexual gratification”.

“The men systematically abused these young children over a number of years – slowly eroding their confidence and making them think these crimes were acceptable,” he said.

“I would like to pay tribute to all the victims in this case. They’ve displayed the utmost bravery and courage throughout our investigation and the proceeding trial.”

    1. It is not only this incident of Muslim groomers kept low key in the media. This seems to be pretty much standard these days for almost all grooming gang trials. Keep reporting as low key as possible to stop the public knowing the true scale and how widespread the Muslim grooming gang epidemic really is.Look through the posts on this site over the last couple of months and you will see countless other examples of grooming gangs that have received the same scant coverage from the media
