2 Tier Justice: Beat Up A ‘White Tw*t’ Leaving Him Needing Surgery In Racist Pack Attack Get Suspended Sentence

Described as a pillar of the community, Haroon Adam, was found guilty after a trial of racially- aggravated assault occasioning actual bodily harm for attacking a rival football coach in front of children. The  racially motivated assault left the victim being hospitalised needing surgery as a result of damage caused by Haroon Adam, his brother and other unidentified males in a racially motivated pack attack.

The hate attack happened at the end of an under 15s football match taking place in Dewsburys Islamic ghetto, Savile Town. The victim was the manager of the away team and the Adam brothers were the home sides coaches. At the end of an ill tempered match the victim offered his hand as a sign of good will to the opposite coaches which is when the trouble began.

 Prosecutor Mrs Seddon said:

“Mr (Haroon) Adam became aggressive, told him to ‘f*** off’ and called him a white t***.

“The complainant pointed out that there were children present and the reply was: ‘We don’t want your sort here, just f*** off’.”

Mr Bird then tried to walk away but was followed by Adam and a punch was thrown towards him. Mr Bird was dragged to the floor and assaulted by the men and some others who have not been identified.

“As he fell he felt his knee twist and he was kicked and punched whilst on the floor.”

Despite all this, Haroon Adam managed to avoid being sent to prison because apparently he tries to steer youngsters away from becoming terrorists. Big deal. What kind of example is he setting by calling somebody a white tw*t and beating them in front of those children who he is meant to be mentoring to stay away from Islamic extremism. Hardly promoting peace and harmony behaving like a racist thug.

The double standards make my blood boil. When people are getting the book thrown at them and jailed for things such as burning the quran or putting bacon on a mosque which at the end of the day results in no physical harm. It is being treated more severely than a racist thug hospitalising somebody. Two tier justice where Muslims get preferential treatment and softer sentences when in the wrong. Yet those who do something against them are treated much harsher.

Should this man even be working with children???

A ‘pillar of the community’ working to steer young people away from terrorism has escaped jail – for a racist attack after refereeing a children’s football match.

Coach Robert Bird was left needing surgery to his leg after being kicked and punched in the floor following a row over the final 3-2 score.

His attacker and the referee, Haroon Adam, was found guilty after a trial of racially- aggravated assault occasioning actual bodily harm.

Despite labelling the attack “despicable” Kirklees magistrates kept Adam, of Wharf Street in Dewsbury, out of jail.

They told the 43-year-old they only did so due to his work in the community during the current uncertain climate.

Adam’s brother, Idris Adam, was also in court over his part in the group attack in the town.

The Huddersfield court was told that Mr Bird, Adam and his 48-year-old brother, also of Wharf Street, were involved in a children’s under-15s match on March 22 last year in Savile Town.

Mr Bird was coaching the opposing team to Adam, who was acting as referee, and his brother who was also a coach.

Jill Seddon, prosecuting, said: “The game was not played in very good spirit but at the end of the game Mr Bird decided to go over and shake the hand of the two defendants.

Mrs Seddon said: “As he fell he felt his knee twist and he was kicked and punched whilst on the floor.”

Mr Bird was taken to hospital and an MRI scan on his leg confirmed that he had suffered a ruptured cruciate ligament with lateral tears.

Magistrates heard that the final goal three minutes before the end of the match was heavily disputed by Mr Bird’s team and he called Adam a cheat before the attack happened.

Adam had denied the charge but was found guilt after a two-day trial alongside his brother who was convicted of an offence of assault occasioning actual bodily harm.

The court heard that both men were highly respected members of their community.

Adam founded Engage Dewsbury, a voluntary community project set up to tackle radicalisation.

His brother, a taxi driver, devoted his spare time to coaching and helping the youth community.

Bench chairman Wayne Perriman said: “We do acknowledge the work you’re doing within the community, especially at the current vulnerable time we’re facing which has to be congratulated.

“However, this was a children’s sporting event and we find it despicable that these children and Mr Bird had to witness such atrocious behaviour from

Adam was sentenced to 26 weeks in jail, suspended for 18 months, and orderered to complete 240 hours of unpaid work. His brother got a 22-week suspended jail term and must serve 200 hours of unpaid work in the community. Each will have to pay £500 compensation to Mr Bird, £482.50 prosecution costs and £80 victim surcharge.
