A small group of Britain First members were carrying crosses to represent Christianity and handing out newspapers on a busy main road in an area that has been invaded by Muslims and is said to be a virtual no go area for non Muslims. They were immediately swarmed on sight by raging local Muslims. One Muslim shop keeper comes out of his greengrocers and boldly boasts that Muslims are taking over. The sight of Christians with the cross incensed the religion of peace members who showed their true violent nature as usual. Throwing things, verbally abusing them,making threats and wanting to fight with the BF group even with the police present.
Luton is a well known hotspot for Islamic extremism and where the EDL was founded in response to the radical Islamism shown by many of Lutons Muslim residents.
The decline of the manufacturing industry in Luton, the subsequent reduction in jobs on top of conflicts between western values and the laws of Islam have all created an environment which saw radical speakers like Abu Hamza al-Mazri and Omar Bakri Mohammed invited to speak and welcomed with open arms at the mosque on Leagrave Road.
Both hate preachers have since been deported from the UK. But their legacy lives on. Luton is a breeding ground for Islamic terrorists and their supporters. Taimour Abdulwahab al-Abdaly, the Stockholm bomber was a Muslim extremist from the Bedfordshire town. The 7/7 bombers also had links to Luton.
In April 2013 four jihadis n from Luton (Zahid Iqbal, Mohammed Sharfaz Ahmed, Umar Arshad, and Syed Farhan Hussain ) were given lengthy jail sentences for engaging in conduct and preparation for acts of terrorism. The men had planned to carry out terrorist attacks in Luton and elsewhere with improvised explosive devices to be made using instructions from an Al Qaida magazine.
In December 2015 four Muslims from Luton were arrested by counter terrorism police for plotting a major terrorist attack in the UK.
