Eight men have now been charged in total as part of Avon and Somerset constabulary’s Operation Brooke and are all awaiting hearings at Bristol Crown Court.
At Bristol Magistrates’ Court yesterday, Mohammed Dahir, 21, was charged with raping a girl aged between 13 and 15, causing or inciting a child aged between 13 and 17 to prostitution and aiding or abetting rape of a girl under 13.
Jusef Abdirizak, 19, was also charged with raping a girl aged between 13 and 15.
Dahir, who is also known as Kamal, and Abdirizak, who is also known as Storns, were both remanded in custody until their next appearance before a judge at crown court.
Police have called on anyone who believes they may have been a victim of a similar offence to call them on 101 or talk to someone they trust, such as a parent, carer or teacher.
